This month, we made it easier for new users to get started on the platform, officially opened up VPN use with no restrictions, and gave advertisers a more precise way to reach the right audience. We also added several new task types.
Getting started on IPWeb just got easier
After signing up, new users now see a series of simple guided banners that walk them through the first steps: setting up a profile, finding tasks, and starting to earn. Figuring this out on your own used to take more effort — now the platform walks you through it. You can check it out at ipweb.ru and ipweb.pro.
VPN use is now fully unrestricted
We've updated our VPN policy. VPNs used to be discouraged, then allowed for select tasks only. Now you're free to use a VPN anytime, with any location, and it won't limit which tasks you have access to.
To get the most out of your tasks and avoid any issues, keep a few simple rules in mind:
- avoid free VPN services — they can be unreliable and affect task quality;
- try completing tasks both with and without a VPN — this gives you access to more tasks overall;
- don't switch your VPN location too often.

We've also updated the page at https://www.ipweb.ru/how-to-earn-more and the checklist in your account: it used to warn you against using a VPN, and now it simply asks whether you use one — if you do, you'll get a link to the article explaining the new rules.
Advertisers can now target their audience more precisely
Previously, the platform determined a user's location based on their IP address. That meant if someone was using a VPN, the system would pick up the VPN server's location instead of the user's actual location.
Now advertisers can use a new "Geolocation targeting" option, which detects a user's real location — even with a VPN on — by factoring in several signals, including language.
This is especially useful for reaching users in a specific country where popular platforms might be blocked. For example, to reach genuine Russian subscribers for a Telegram channel, setting the country to "Russia" under the old targeting used to fall short — now, switching on "Geolocation targeting" ensures the task reaches users who are actually located in that country, regardless of whether they're using a VPN.
New task types We've added several new task types:
