Why you can't unsubscribe from channels and groups after completing a task?

Read 5 minutes

When completing tasks in IPweb, you must keep your subscriptions to channels, public pages, chats, and groups. This rule applies to all social media platforms and messaging apps.

Please note: You must never unsubscribe from channels or leave communities associated with IPweb tasks—not even after the task has been verified and you’ve received payment. Below, we’ll explain why this is important and what to do if you can no longer subscribe.

Why do you need to keep your subscriptions?

The advertiser pays for the task to increase the number of subscribers to their channel or members of their community. When you subscribe, that number goes up. If you unsubscribe after receiving payment, that number goes down again. As a result, the advertiser spent money but didn’t get what they paid for.

Subscribing “for a while” does not count as completing the task and does not provide the advertiser with the value they expect. Subscribing, getting paid, and then unsubscribing means deceiving the advertiser and violating the service’s rules.
This also affects the earnings of contractors. If an advertiser sees that paid subscribers are leaving, they lose trust in the service and stop posting tasks. There will be fewer tasks, and along with them, your opportunities to earn money will decrease.

Why does IPweb verify subscriptions?

We verify that subscriptions are maintained and impose penalties for violations to ensure that advertisers receive the results they paid for and contractors receive compensation for their work.
Verifying a task before payment does not mean that completed actions can be undone afterward. Subscriptions may be re-verified.

Important! This applies not only to subscriptions. You also cannot remove paid likes, delete reposts, or undo other actions for which you received compensation.

What should you do if you’re not ready to keep a subscription?

If you cannot or do not want to keep subscriptions indefinitely, do not accept such tasks. Block tasks involving subscriptions on the relevant social network or messaging app and choose other available ways to earn money.

In IPweb, there are tasks involving likes, comments, video and website views, reading emails, and other actions. Carefully review the terms and conditions and only take on tasks that you can complete while following the rules.
Blocking new tasks does not cancel your obligations for tasks you’ve already completed: you must keep any subscriptions you’ve already paid for.

What should you do if you reach the subscription limit?

Social media platforms and messaging apps may limit the number of channels and communities you can join. For example, on Telegram, the standard limit is 500 channels and supergroups combined, while with Telegram Premium, it’s 1,000. You can learn more about these increased limits in the Telegram article.

Reaching the limit is normal. This in itself does not violate IPweb’s rules. It simply means you will no longer be able to complete new tasks involving subscriptions on this messaging app until the limit allows you to join new channels and groups.

If you’ve reached the limit:
  1. Do not unsubscribe from channels and groups from IPweb tasks to free up space for new paid subscriptions.
  2. Block tasks that require a subscription and that you can no longer complete.
  3. Choose other available tasks that do not require a new subscription.

You should follow the same procedure when you reach the limit on any other social media platform.
The subscription limit does not give you the right to cancel work that has already been paid for.

If you keep your subscriptions, do not delete paid reposts, and do not cancel other completed actions, you don’t need to worry about audits. You’re following the rules, so you won’t face penalties for such violations. It pays to work honestly: you keep what you’ve earned and can continue completing tasks without the risk of losing your payment due to fraud.
