Clicks on advertising banners on the website
This type of advertising campaign is effective if you need to generate clicks on banners, links, ad units, etc. Additionally, you can configure the user’s path through the site before the click, as well as the path through the destination site that opens after the ad is clicked.
This allows you to control the depth of the visit and the number of bounces.
To create this ad campaign, click the “Add Ad Campaign” button on the campaign management homepage (menu item – “Your Sites”).
Next, under “Promotion Type,” select “Clicks on Website Ads” and fill in the required fields:

In the Website URL (address) field, enter the website you plan to promote.
The address must begin with http:// or https:// (for example, http://sites.ru).
In the Daily Visits field, specify the number of visits (clicks) to your website per day.
In the Distribute field, select the traffic distribution for the website:
- Natural – more impressions during the day, fewer at night.
- Even – impressions are distributed evenly over time.
- Only from 8 AM to 7 PM – distribution within the 8 AM to 7 PM time range; at other times, your site’s impressions will be paused.
Each visitor makes 0 clicks (i.e., does not click on any pages of the site) or 1–2 clicks on the site’s pages; in the field under, describe where the user clicks on the site.
Then clicks on the banner – here you must specify exactly which banner (ad unit, link, or other object) the user must click on (its name and location). It is important to provide the clearest and most detailed instructions possible in this field.
Clicks on pages of the opened site – here you can specify how many clicks the user must make on the pages of the site that opened after clicking on the banner.
Hide system usage (empty Referer) – if this option is selected, your site will not be visible in the “referring” “sources” and so on. Visits will be the same as if users typed your site’s address into a browser or navigated from bookmarks/favorites.
Receive email statistics – statistics on your site’s promotion will be sent to your email daily.
Fluctuations (+/-) – a random deviation in the number of visits, either up or down. For example, for 100 visits per day and a 5% fluctuation, the daily traffic distribution will range from 95 to 105 visits: Mon – 97, Tue – 103, Wed - 100, etc.

Please note that the Referer header is missing if:
- the user enters the URL in the browser's address bar;
- the user accessed the site via bookmarks;
- the request is redirected from HTTPS to HTTP;
- the request is redirected from HTTPS to various URLs using HTTPS;
- security software (antivirus, firewall, etc.) has stripped the request;
- a proxy server has stripped the request;
- a browser plugin has stripped the request;
- the site was visited programmatically (e.g., using curl) without setting a header;
- this disables the referrer meta tag;
- this enables the referrer meta tag, but the browser does not support it.
Thus, when switching from https to http, the referrer is not transmitted, as a result of which clicks in web analytics tools (e.g., Yandex.Metrica or Google Analytics) are identified as «direct visits».
